Yoga Foundations

This class serves as an introduction to the foundational principles of yoga and focuses on building strength, body awareness, mobility, and flexibility through a series of poses and movements. Emphasis will be placed on proper alignment, breath awareness, and mindful movement.

Attend to Develop:

  • Core Strength and Stability: Through a series of targeted exercises and poses, participants will strengthen the abdominal muscles, back muscles, and pelvic floor.
  • Enhance Flexibility and Mobility: We will explore various stretching techniques, including dynamic and static stretches, to improve range of motion in the joints and muscles. This enhances overall flexibility and promote ease of movement.
  • Strength and Balance: Participants will learn proper alignment and muscular engagement to develop strength in the entire body. This serves to build the foundation of an effective yoga practice.
  • Breath and Body Awareness: You will learn various pranayama (breath control) techniques. Through guided breathwork, participants will deepen their understanding of how breath influences movement, relaxation, and mental focus.

Students of all-levels of experience are encouraged to join this class. It truly holds something for everyone. We are here to support you along the way whether your goal is to build strength, flexibility, focus, and confidence or to refine or advance your practice.
